The First Mosque In The Arctic


The mosque Nord Kamal Located in the city of Norilsk, Russian and described as a mosque, which is located at the end of the world. The mosque is opened in 1998, and is built at the expense of Mukhtad Bekmeyev wasnamed the mosque of his parents.

The mosque Nord Kamal place in an Overlooking a prominent position on the edge of the modern Norilsk, where temperatures drop to 50 degrees below zero, and the mosque is built with stones painted in turquoise blue and gold dome. The Europe Other Face Magazine describes this mosque as one of the bright spots in the city.



Norilsk is the northernmost city in the world with more than 100,000 inhabitants. and the world's second largest city (after Murmansk) north of the Arctic Circle. via
